Ecko was born into the Nlaka’pamux Nation and raised with the Shishalh Nation. She is trained in audio engineering, music production and film editing with a lifetime background of traditional singing, drumming, dancing and ceremonies.

In 2016 Ecko graduated from the Art Institute of Vancouver with a diploma in Professional Recording Arts. In 2017 she received the Fred Sheratt MusiCounts Award for Outstanding Recording Arts and Sciences in Toronto, ON.

Ecko has worked with her communities through cultural teachings and practices since 2003. She is passionate about her culture and continues to expand her knowledge of art through many mediums. She has a vision to be a voice for her people and a key holder to keeping her culture alive through the passing of traditions and teachings within media and performing arts.
